Sustainability

In the current day and age many Australians have become removed from the natural world, taking comfort in synthetic alternatives to natural systems which we once relied upon for our survival. While there is nothing wrong with living with such comforts it is important that we all understand that there are consequences for the actions we all take by consuming the many resources (such as water, land, minerals and fossil fuels) required to provide them. It is our belief that education is the key to continue with our daily lives on a sustainable basis, providing sensible alternatives preceding the commencement of new development (of any kind), in order to preserve the many environmental and ecological systems we may potentially disrupt.

We are now observing a welcome shift in community opinion on many environmental issues, such as water conservation and action on climate change. However, there is still a long way to go in convincing the mainstream public of the importance of sharing our land and resources with all other life forms that have coevolved with the human race to inhabit the present day world.

There are many things we can all change in our day to day life, in order to contribute to the persistence of many species we may never see.
